hey guys,

Which networks accept CPV / PPV traffic ?

Also has anybody had problems with advertisers not paying for any leads brought in from this sort of traffic?

Thanks,
Matt

Ok Sonny... but which cpa networks actually do support PPV traffic?

For example Azoogle don't accept any PPV traffic at all....

azoogle does accept some ppv traffic. You have to check their list of traffic sources. pdf you can find in their backend system.

re: the rest of the networks - either it will say on the offer (e.g Contextual:yes) or just ask your AM. For example, one of the networks I work with didn't have it listed on offer detail pages. I asked my AM & he said run it to whatever you want so long as you're not sending crappy run-of-network traffic.

Also check with advertisers that you think might benifit. The problem with some of the Networks is that they don't have the proper reporting statistics to track certain things... For instance, in our space, Rev Share is something that none of the networks can track, so they can only offer Pay Per Sale or Pay Per Join.

We just request you send to a presell page first.

Which just murders your conversion rate.

Neverblue is a good place to run CPV. Offers that take CPV are noted with DLS in their system.

Hydra takes CPV (although you may want to watch your conversions like a hawk when running there).

If the offer accepts CPV traffic make sure you are using the Networks contextual link. I've heard of pubs grabbing the search URL and running CPV traffic to the offer and lowering the EPC's across the entire Network.

Thing is you can't track shit with the network's contextual link (atleast on DT), I've always believed there was an extra link just so network's know that PPV traffic is working for an offer....

Granted, but CPA networks aren't architected like PPV or CPM networks. They aren't setup to serve a million clicks in a day with 2 or 3 conversions, which I've seen with some CPV traffic. Additionally, CPA networks only get paid on the conversions, so they don't want to incur the costs of all these useless clicks only to make a few bucks on the leads. Finally, merchants don't want to see this volume of non-productive clicks either.

MaxBounty accepts PPV traffic, but we expect the affiliate to be able to generate an EPC of at least $0.01. Anything less and we have to ask them to pull their traffic for the above reasons. Optimally though, like smaxor said, a presell page is better.

Or , you can do it like the smart networks and provide a contextual link so you know immediately where the traffic is coming from and bill accordingly.
