So I've got a hybrid server, and I have 8 IPs.

One is shared, the default IP. I have about a dozen domains on this IP.

On my remaining IPs, I have one domain per IP.

Can I also add multiple domains to another IP? Can I setup a second shared IP on the same WHM install?

555.555.555.555 = Default shared IP. 12 domains.
555.555.555.557 = one domain
555.555.555.558 = one domain
555.555.555.559 = one domain
555.555.555.560 = one domain
555.555.555.561 = one domain
555.555.555.562 = one domain
555.555.555.563 = mutiple domains possible?

TIA, +rep for help.

Unless you uniquely defined an account as having a 'unique' IP during account creation, you can later in WHM go thru the list of accounts and hit the IP box next to their IP address to pick one of the other IPs available to you. I had to do this when I setup SSL on kblinker since it couldn't share an IP with any of the other domains.

Thanks, but I don't think that answers my question.

I want to have more than 1 shared IP on the same server. Possible?

You should be able to point as many domains as you want at any ip. I don't know how to do it in WHM because WHM fucking sucks IMHO so I don't use it.

Can you create nameserver profiles at your registrar? Why can't you create a new profile as ns1.somedomain.com and assign it that IP address (555.555.555.563) and ns2.somedomain.com (any of the others). Then just assign those nameservers to whatever domains you want to share under it. When adding a new account in WHM, under 'DNS settings', just check the box that says "Use the nameservers specified at the Domain's Registrar (ignore locally specified nameservers)".

^^ this

Creating different nameservers for each domain (or unrelated subsets of them) will also help cut down on the footprints.

Glad you got what you wanted, If you need any help I am sure cpanel.net has loads of information. You could always check wikipedia. But then again, anyone can modify it.
