Who else just ordered one of these?

Is what was given out/ released at Google I/O today?

yeah, though there have been rumors about it for a while. It's got a nice little processor and GPU in it, should be interesting to see how well it runs. I'm really only going to be using it for movie watching, some note taking, and random laying on the couch browsing, so my expectations are beyond low so long as the damn thing doesn't stutter while I swipe through it like my old Android phone did.

The one downer is the storage isnt expandable not sure how big a deal that is w/ cloud storage and streaming. But for $200 can you really expect it? I think I am going to grab one

yeah that's my thought process, I spent the extra $50 for the 16gb version and will just delete shit I don't need on it anymore. Most people significantly overestimate how much storage they really need on their mobile devices anyways, my iphone is 16gb and I've used like 2gb of space on it I think.

I considered it just to replace my kindle so I could read the digital magazines and pdf books ive gotten but then I remember what a huge piece of crap android is and the thoughts go away.

Nice price and size.

They also announced that some developers can buy Google Glass (the computer glasses) for $1500 and it ships early next year.

I bought the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 a couple months ago for ~$250, and for what I use it for I like it a lot.

I use it for similar stuff, a lot of books, browsing, some videos. Great for travel. Also a full fledged Office Suite on the go, with a portable keyboard I can be somewhat productive without lugging around a laptop.

Also like the additional 32gb of storage via micro SD.

I wasn't a huge fan of Android until recently, but it's running silky smooth now.

Dat bezel :repuke:

but why the 7" is my question? too big for your pocket that's for sure. to small to get real work done i'm sure.

yet i really want it. ill buy it if i can pay with paypal

7 is perfect. No interest in 10'. Too big. I never use mine because it's just awkward. 7', on the other hand, is sweet.

The huge off screen borders, and the non expandable memory kill it for me. I'd prefer this over the Kindle Fire though, for sure.
