I know this isn't quite affiliate marketing but I bet someone on here has experience.

I run an online shop for this local company and they just set me up as a wholesale distributor. I have no experience in this area whatsoever, but I can obviously get in touch with stores all over North America.

I'm just looking for any advice or words of caution from anyone who has been into wholesale distribution.

I had a dream last night where I was the largest wholesale consumer electronics distributer in the US. Badass dream.

China now has the name for many spurious low quality goods worldwide. Beware of purchasing a chinese product.

Fuck off back to digitalpoint, no one here wants to read your sorry excuse for a (fake) signature. And everyone knows, you get what you pay for.

The products are Sheepskin boots, rugs, baby stuff, slippers, duvet's, gloves, jackets etc.

My plan is to start with the baby products and email/call baby stores, and follow up with a picture/info package to go over. I was just perhaps wanting to know if this is most likely my best route to take.

Babies are too trendy. Go with something with a little more staying power. Like zippers - zippers aren't going anywhere.

Holy shit, you're buying Ugg boots from Frankston...
It scares me the way a pair of $35AUD ugg boots ends up being $400USD by the time it hits L.A. boutiques

Not that I've been into wholesale distro, but I'm certain if you come down to Oz, particularly some of the cooler climate cities, like Melbourne or Adelaide, you'd be able to find a wholesaler that's a hell of a lot cheaper.
Seriously, these boots are everywhere here (thankfully most people have the decorum not to wear them outside) and I've seen them at markets, retail, for as low as $15 a pair.
