So they invented a EMP weapon that permanently takes out electronics for this one... I guess that's a nice plot device.
Looks fun, but I gotta wonder if this is a smart move on the part of the establishment to let this kind of film out... Like Hunger Games this kind of stuff isn't simple 1-way propaganda for them. This one in particular puts ppl in the mindset of building militias and fighting off an insurmountable foe. Kinda like giving the sheeple an instruction manual for rebellion.
Luckily for their sake it's going to be so filled with propaganda that it will have the opposite effect to most.

Oh I used to be one of those kids that would scream "Wolverines!" when I led my paintball team over to the enemy base... That Swayze movie had a very good effect on me that I had worried is missing in these younger generations. I'm glad that this movie is back. This is nothing more than a remake from the 80's. The last version was against the Russians right at the tail end of the cold war.
Hmm, Good point. :ticking:How is that different from a real EMP?

It would be a lot more realistic if most the population immediately began justifying the North Koreans right to occupy them and explaining how it simply wouldn't be practical or even in our interest to overthrow them.

Except that is exactly how a weaponized emp works. You've seen too many movies if you think devices just come back on after a bit.
