why are googles search results different

Not exactly sure why but jsut accept it, it is different.
Different IP addresses sometimes pull different even just miles from each other and using the same datacenter. Even if you are logged out or using someone elses computer who is logged out of G000gle.
The Big G is weird and the rankings seem to be in constant flux during the day.
Dont worry about exact rankings so much. Just try to get better ones or more traffic.
