it is fake, but because it is roger Federrer , its almost got people believing ... Just shows how good this guy has been on court

Can't wait for the US Open. I'd love to see Roddick vs. Fed in the finals, and Roddick beat him - but Roddick just can't seem to get it done.

Has it been confirmed fake?

I've played recreational tennis for a few years, and I could do that.
Sure, I might hit the guy or miss several times before I got it...but I could do it.

Being the best tennis player in the world, I don't have a hard time believing that Federer can do it. He does have precise aim on his serves.

In response to the “real or fake” question, a Gillette spokesperson tells http://www.blippr.com/apps/337174-Mashable, “All we’ll say at the moment is we’ll leave the ‘real or fake’ debate up to the viewers, but the evidence is there to see. Roger’s skill and ability is incredible (that’s why he’s a Gillette ambassador!) so of course it was filmed in one take during a shoot for Gillette Fusion’s partnership with the British Skin Foundation.”

I doubt that it is fake. But who knows. I can see Federer doing that.

Also.. love your sig haha

I'm a tennis player and I can tell you that it is 110% fake. Not even Federer can place a serve that precisely, consistently enough that he would risk hitting a ball that fast at a guys face. No one can consistently serve within a matter of inches - if they could every single serve would be on one line or the other. To put it another way, I've watched numerous pros try to hit a quarter placed on the ground in the service box. Federer only hit it 4 out of 10 times (and he won the challenge).

Except he's much closer and not hitting at full speed in the video. I'm not convinced it's fake.

I hate joining real or fake debates but can't help myself, I find it hard to believe that anyone can think this isn't fake. The whole health and safety aspect would stop this being real for a start and it's a viral ad, it doesn't need to be real.

Job done Gillette. B+ for effort.

Who knows if it's sped up or not but taken at face value that ball is hit at at least 100mph. Like I said, there's no way in hell he would risk it. Anyone who knows anything about tennis knows this is fake, trust me. The trajectory of the shot is also completely unnatural for a professional tennis player which makes the shot even harder. I would bet Fed couldn't do this for real more than 2 out of 10 times. (And every bone in the guys face would be broken by the time he reached 2)

definitely fake.. they could have made it much more believable if he only did it once.. but twice in a row? nope, not even fed.

lol those who think this is real are obviously NOT tennis players. There is NO way you can aim that accurately on a serve, especially not knowing you're risking hurting the guy pretty bad. I'd say in the best case he would get it 5 times out of 10 if it was for real. (so half of the time he'd mess up the guy's nose pretty bad lol)

Why doesn't one of you graphic/video guys just dissect this thing in slowmo? To me it looks like the ball disappears at 1:27 and you can hear the ping of the ball hitting the bottle before it even moves. Go ahead, pause it at 1:27 and tell me where the mofo ball is?

Having said that it's NOT impossible but they certainly wouldn't risk someone's face like that.
