I hate the fact that there's never any girls in my office (AKA: living room).

3-4 years in.

you adjust. I gained so much weight working at home. That weights burning off as I have my elliptical with tv/pc/ps3 access.

social skills?

aside from not complaining about work or commuting, I make out just fine talking about everything else with all my peeps.

The extra time off has allowed me to get better educated on health, business, investing, politics and I am a better person for it. I've learned more on my own than I ever did at school.

I make sure to get out the house at least once a day. (vitamin D is important) Even if it's to go to target, staples, best buy etc.

I would not trade this life for anything. I used to bartend and wait tables during my school years and a few years after, fuck that. I even worked construction when I was in my teens. I know what it's like to get my hands dirty.

Though, I purposely do not have personal social accounts(only for ads). No way I could handle that in my face all day without easily getting distracted.

I get distracted enough here, but it's worth it with all the stuff Ive learned.

Thats a great comic. I loled.

I feel like a simple fix to the working at home issue is to just rent out some office space, get up and go to work for urself everyday .... amirite?

Bofu, cardine, u bros got the right idea

^You don't need to rent a damn office... Just keep your workspace in a seperate room where you can close the door and use some discipline! Paying for office space when you can do that is like paying an extra $1500 into adwords and not getting any views for it EVERY MONTH!

Yeah when I work from home or work on the weekends my hygiene goes to shit. I think I'd probably look homeless after about a week of working from home, but it sounds so awesome at the same time.

Thats not my problem, I get cabin fever being at home 24 hours a day, I make myself go out and get lunch and do shit just to break away. The weekend I get out, but during the week it can get old.

I will say though, I will never fucking work for someone again.

I'm at about the six months in mark. Ugh.

Also, even I know this is older than dirt, and I'm a loser newb. It's still funny...I guess.

LOL so true on all accounts.

Been working from home the past 3 years. The hardest part is definitely the lack of social interaction in my opinion. I leave the house at least once a day to go to the gym. When I do leave the house I always try to talk to as many people as I can. Now I think I will start going to internet marketing related meetups in my area. Procrastination is horrible though. Its something I struggle with daily. Even with all the back and neck pain from sitting in a chair all day I will NEVER work for somebody else again.

I'm no longer working at home, moved to an office recently. It feels great!. I used to believe that if I worked from home I'd be more productive since I wouldnt waste time on commuting/other stuff, I was plain wrong. After a couple of years it ended up feeling like I was in jail.

I got an awesome deal on leasing some unused office space in the 2nd floor of the gym at my apartment complex - 175 square feet for $175/month. Not only is it dirt cheap but they pay electricity and there's free wireless internet. My apartment is about 100 yards away so I usually eat lunch at home and there's no commute so huge savings there too.

I certainly don't think its a necessity. Forcing discipline upon yourself is a good thing to learn. But for me, there's a huge psychological benefit to having to get dressed and walking to the office because it means "I'm going to work" and that puts me in a productive mindset. Plus seeing women on treadmills and at the pool isn't a bad way to start the day.

i'm not full time yet, but when i get there, i'm definately going to need an office. Ideally, i'd split it w/ other like minded ppl - that to me is the ultimate set up.

i took a week off from my 9-5 to work all week in AM and working at home just wouldn't work for me in the long run. i get up late, i get lazy, it's probably because it's the home i grew up in and the same spot i used to just play Counterstrike all day on, but to me it feels like i'm just sitting home and its hard for my mind to get into work mode.

with an office, i'll have a reason to get up, and an environment that i know is made for work. my office would also be ballin as well

I work too much to go into an office. Working at home rocks. Just takes discipline to actually work, exercise, and manage your time.

And old comic is old.

Human interaction? Ummm... I'm pretty sure I can leave the house more than I could leave a job and POF has an app.
