Hi folks,
I have had a campaign running for over a month, its to a site with a few pages, and its been going very well.

all of a sudden today I need to bid $10 to activate. What is the fucken deal with Google??

Anyone know why they pull this shit after over a month, to a site with decent content. I'm just wondering why goog is screwing advertisers up the ass

anyway to fix it?

No clue, but I think it's something to do with quality score. I've had it happen on a few pages, sometimes after a day, sometimes right away, sometimes after weeks.

I'm interested in the reason though as well. Might be a glitch. I added KWs to a campaign and once I finished, all of the KW were 2,3,4,5 bucks, and the KWs normally would be 10-15 cents. I deleted it, and readded it and prices we more normal. Weird though.

Because it's how they make money...

Have you made changes to the site since your initial opening of account? is it a bridge page or do you have conversion forms hosted by you? Do you have a privacy policy, contact us, links to other sites? Are you cloaking? Could be a million things...

happened to me recently too. not sure why...but i'm just trying to hardcore changed across the board...new domains, and everything. nothing worked yet, but we'll see. i've heard it hit a couple main players too

lol, yeah, you have to change your quality score, yeah thats it, just change your page, yeah yeah thats it, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAH nope there is nothing you can do your doomed sorry, google just expects that you can still somehow make money paying 10 dollars per click wheeeeeeeeeeeee

Lmfao, you're fucked. havok is right, trying to mess with your quality score won't do shit, and juniodude stop trying to fuck with it because getting new domains and all that won't work, I've tried it. An adwords rep told me they save those keywords in your history, so you'll have to wait until they want to lower the price hahaha.

actually they do save keywords in their history, your right, but they match it with a domain name(from what i here). In other words, if you get a new account and setup keywords with a certain domain, they will have the same crazy inactive for search prices on them. But if you get a new domain, they reevaluate it. I think right now, google might be having some problems. Recently google has been having problems with some credit card accepting situations. we'll see...

Um, I switched domains 2 times with 2 different campaigns and the same keywords that were inactive for search the first time were still inactive for search the second time, and the bids were the same too.

They don't save it in their history, they save it in your account history.

Getting a new account is a whole different topic!

well the thing is, this was like a proper site, it had all the usual shit, privacy, contact, blah blah blah...12% ctr, always position 1-3, relevant etc.

not to mention, all content on it was actually original. So if google are gonna fuck this site up, i could easily send em 100,000 sites that would have a lower quality score.

it was also doing $500-600/day, so i will definitely be trying out a new domain etc, and i'll see if that bypasses this bullshit

Time for a game of BLUES CLUES!

Lets say you have a webpage about "ELEPHANTS". With tons of information and links relating to "ELEPHANTS".

You think if I bid on "ELEPHANTS" my quality score is gonna suck badly?... Now how do we make this work with a full adwords account......

Sometimes you just got to put yourself in the shoes of a billion dollar search engine =)

for those that are interested:
changing the url to a different domain within an adgroup seemed to get the keywords re-activated. After chaning to a different domain (with exactly the same content), it took about 10-20 mins, then keywords were normal again

although i dont know how long it will last

I have had this same problem as well. I just made a new adgroup within that campaign with the same keywords and even pointed it to the same domain and everything. All my keywords were active again and problem solved. I'll let you know how long it lasts...
