Hi guys

Well I've had the idea to organize a skydiving trip during Adtech and lots of people want to join so I'll try to set it up!

Here how it's going to work:

We'll meet up in the morning somewhere downtown.
I'll rent us a nice limo that will drive us to the Dropzone
Everyone jumps and Networks
Then we'll take the Limo back to the City.

Total price with transportation, the jump and a video and pictures of your jump will probably be around $400 (just a rough guess might go up and down depending on the price of the limo). Just write it off as a business expense.

Now, I need to know if you guys are up for it, so if you're not pussies and are up to some serious fun, let me know.

I also need to know on what date!

I'm thinking either the 6th or the 7th of November.

It's going to be very weather dependent. If it's very cloudy or it rains, we'll have to wait till ASW.

So, are all you ballers pussys or up to some real fun?

i'm all about diving. but november up north at 13k feet that's enough to freeze my scrotum.

oh wait you're swiss, nevermind. I've seen people like you hike Mt McKinley in hotpants...

Yes, thats one of the things that's kind of worrying me. It will be Cold.

I've jumped in -17C on the ground without problems but it's not really ideal. It won't be nearly that cold but gloves etc. will definitely be needed.

I'll talk to some instructors and see what they thing about it temperature and weather wise.

Might be a good idea to do it ASW instead, Vegas will be plenty warm!

I did a tandem jump in February 1996 for leap year. Small plane, there were five or six of us sitting with our knees pulled up, waiting while we climbed to about 8,000 feet. The skydiving itself was an amazing rush that I have not been able to duplicate with any amount of amusement park rides or other "artificial" help. Highly recommended if you can stomach the experience, and are okay about signing a waiver about death and dismemberment.

I'm worried that I might fall and hurt my back again, so I'll pass.

(that was a joke)

Before you jump, be sure to leave me with all your keywords, lists, and login/pw's

That's all

Temperature, maybe not...but you do have to have clear visibility to jump. That's the main reason why so many skydiving "meccas" are in places like FL and AZ.

Well temperature is somewhat of an issue since if it gets too cold the tandem masters will tell you to fuck off ;)

But yes, Visibility is definitely a bigger issue and so are high winds.
