I figure there must be some poker players here so I've setup a wf poker club on pokerstars. Hopefully there'll be enough interest to hold weekly tournaments, I want it to be friendly so I'm thinking max $5-10 buy in (per tournament).

When to play?
15:00 ET on any weekday suits me (8pm in the UK), if that's not cool please suggest alternatives.

Why did you mention Eastern Time? US players aren't allowed to play on PokerStars since Black Monday.

Because that's the timezone that shows up in pokerstars for me (I've now changed it to my local time).
I still can't get my head around people in the US not being able to gamble online.

Because online gambling corrupts the youths of America, obviously.
 
I would love to play but can't since I'm in the US. There are other poker rooms that allow US players that you may want to consider.

Ah, a poker affiliate site - seems legit, lol. The problem with all poker sites that are recommend like that is that they're ranked based on which poker room gives the affiliate the best deal, not which poker room is best for players. One obvious example, you'll notice Poker Stars is rarely top couple on most affiliate sites - despite offering most players the best playing experience for the most part. Instead, you see random ass brands that no one's ever heard of - because the affiliate is getting a super nice cut, and Poker Stars have all but fucked affiliates in the ass.

The US poker sites are hardly worth playing on for the most part. You'll get your money in within a few days, but good luck getting it out by Christmas - if you ever get it out at all.

Whatever you do don't deposit a penny at Lock - they're full scam mode. Bovada & Carbon Poker are probably just about the best US facing rooms, if you insist on playing.

The affiliate site is just something I came across but yeah I ran into the same problem, it took me 5 months to get my money out from one of the poker sites, it may have been lock poker, since then I stopped playing online. If I'm in the mood for poker I just go to my local casino, it's just a few miles away
 
You're forgetting the difficulty of the games. Your average fish probably isn't going to expend as much effort to deposit money to donk off online as a semi-competent poker player. The games will be probably be tougher because of this reason.
