Wii vs. XBOX360 vs. PS3

I'm considering getting a gaming system - haven't had one for several years and got a LOT more work done because of it - but that's another issue altogether.

What should I get? I don't want a better platform to come out like... next year which is why I'm considering XBOX 360 which has Natal coming. But then again I hear chicks dig the Wii and if my GF was more likely to play, maybe its not a bad idea. I hear the PS3 has the best graphics but not as big of a game selection.

Opinions?
 


Wii = Fun for the girl and family. In other words, you shouldn't have a problem still getting laid.

PS3 / Xbox360 = The girlfriend killer. While she's in the bedroom watching her shows, you'll be obliterating people in some FPS. Although, the PS3 has a blue ray player. I would probably get it just for that.
 
PS3 all the way, blu ray, free online play. Wii is fun for the first few hours only...
 
Don't listen to these guys. If you intend to play video games, then I suggest getting a 360. If you want a blu ray then get a PS3 but then again, you can always stream HD movies to your 360 using Netflix. It should be a no brainer.

I have a wii.

The wife, kids and grandparents play all the time. They can't get enough of that bowling game.

No one has ever touched the ps3 aside from me and my brother we he comes over to visit.
 
I have all 3, except my 360s fried atm. The wii is more for group things, like family or friend get togethers. Gets really boring fast by yourself.

If I could only keep one, I'd keep the PS3.
 
I'm in the same boat as the OP.

I was considering getting an Xbox 360 over the PS3. Does anyone prefer the game play on one system over another?

I've always been more inclined to playing on an xbox - but I don't know why - I just seem to be better at it.
 
We've got all three, and only ever really use the Wii. Friends/family come over and play group games, and my husband and I play golf on Wii Sports Resort pretty much daily.
 
I had to make the same decision last year, I went for the 360. This week my box was banned from live, and I bought a PS3 so I can play some MW2.
I think PS3>360.
