I wanted to try something as per Jon's blog post a few days ago. So I thought of a blog about outfits/women's clothing.

Town Fashions

I designed it nicely with a logo and colors and made my first post. I didn't know anything about clothing but when I saw that shirts/jeans cost $100 - $600 (yes, USD, each) I thought no one would ever by this. It's too expensive and they could never try them on.

Is that true? Should I find another niche and close this site down?

As you can tell I am a newbie so all opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

thats gonna be hard to get a sale and girls love to try tons of clothes on before they buy to see how they fit

Looks like you're on the right track. Break that down into a smaller/target niche. Like a specific style, or brand. Or do that with another type of product.

i don't want to sound rude, but no. $100 is not much money for a nice piece of clothing. your site however does not really live up to that tag.

you need to know however one thing: if you gonna get paid by commission, you need to know that most shops offer a try-and-buy policy. that means, that you actually order the clothes, try them on at home and if you don't like them, you send them back.

girls love this option and in contrary what the poster above me said, they use this option to the extreme.

so, if you are going to get paid only by the net value of the actual sale, keep in mind to calculate a much lower return than if you would be paid for the lead, as most stuff will be sent back.

besides that, it is my personal opinion, that you should not really start a business in a field where you have absolutely no clue about. as i said beforehand, your landing page clearly shows that you have no clue about how to properly present fashion, so you should maybe think about something differently to promote.

add: oh yeah. and don't copy the products description directly from their website. this might get you first of all in trouble if you don't have the proper permission to do so, and secondly this is bad for your quality score if you intend to use adwords.

I buy $29.95 clothes at the Gap so to me $150 for a tshirt is a bit pricey, but hopefully not for long if I do well with this affiliate marketing.

As you can tell I know nothing about fashion and didn't know women would buy and return. My calculations at that point would be in many way ambiguous since I might get the sale taken away due to a return.

I decided to put this site on hold (perhaps, forever) and found something I know a bit more about.
