Researchers at Brown University have succeeded in creating the first wireless, implantable, rechargeable, long-term brain-computer interface. The wireless BCIs have been implanted in pigs and monkeys for over 13 months without issue, and human subjects are next.

Current uses are medical, but imagine what they'll be used for in 20 years as technology improves and government control of people increases.

Good luck bros.

Awesome! Yet hella scary at the same time.. Why does the government always have to ruin stuff like this? You know they would leap at the chance to pop this in every American.. Or how about big corps, controlling your brain to buy only their products.. So much $$$$ to be made.

It will be great when we can plug-in and download stuff directly to our heads, like in the matrix. All we have at the moment is trying to force a usb stick up the nose. Not pleasant, trust me.

A bit off topic here but I've been searching for alternative computer keyboard/mouse interfaces that I can use while on the treadmill.

I might buy this "chorded" keyboard called a Twiddler that I saw the 'human cyborg' MIT professor use on his "wearable computer" setup.

Twiddler info: Features

I'd prob try to modify it for it to be bluetooth.. since it's not even wireless.. no idea why they wouldn't make it wireless.

Bluetooth USB Adapters | Tek Gear

Anyone have any experience trying to do anything similar?

Edit: nm, going to make a new thread on this

Do want. Imagine downloading whole Wikipedia in the implant (or nearby smartphone) and knowing everything.

My mission in life is to meet the first person to get one installed, then dickroll them.
