Did you just get your invite?

As soon as we're confident that the system can accept more users, we will add a wave to your account that allows you to nominate friends and colleagues for an account. Once you have the capability to invite people, the wave appear in your inbox.

You don't get your invites until their server can handle more users. Pretty stupid since it's google. When I get some invites, I'll post here if I remember.

i also set up the same gmail for lagunabeachlive. FYI. i watched the video on the homepage and it seems like with Wave they want to merge your email, chat and facebook/social networking on a single platform. Once open source developers create apps to enhance it will be even better.
