wordpress -cpanel error

im trying to install wordpress from my cpanel and i keep getting this error :


1) File: /home/lilman/public_html/public_html/wp-config.php [ERROR! ]
2) File: /home/lilman/public_html/public_html/data.sql [ERROR]

i been trying to fix this shit alll day.can anyone tell me whats wrong ?

Is this with Fantastico? Have you tried a manual install?

yea , its with fantastico . yea i tried manual installing it but for some reason it wouldn't upload to my main root D .

Quick question. What are the permissions on the files. I think they probably need to be writable when you do the install. Just chmod them to 777. See if that helps. I know the only problem I had with the one-click install thing from wp always seemed to be me forgetting to change some permissions.

Make sure you put it back to something without the write access when you're done.
