I keep receiving this error as is my employee. I was just trying to delete a plugin and got this message: Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxxxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/weaver/functions.php:1155) in /home/xxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 881

Now I was still able to delete my plugin and anything else I was trying to do. I just had to click Back once I received that error message. I did try adding code to functions.php but have since removed this code completely.

Let me know if you can help.

Thanks!

For future reference I just redownloaded the theme and uploaded the functions.php file and were good to go.

I somewhat experienced in Wordpress.

If you got this again, just open the involved file what it prompts ... In your case it was the the functions.php.

Delete any extra characters or white spaces in the front and the end of the file. I don't know what makes they appear there but this is the problem.

also If you reupload your changes may lost ...

In most cases but not all the cases ... this will also fix it. Beside reuploading.
