Hi guys,

I have been having some sort of an issue with my WordPress installation recently and was hoping that you guys can help me out. Whenever I try to click on any of the J query buttons, nothing happens at all. So in other words if I click on the media button, edit timestamp button, switch between visual and text mode buttons, add new category or any of the other buttons, nothing happens.

However, I can do this the very first time. What I mean is that the first time I enter the edit posts page, I'm able to click on any of the above-mentioned words. So, I can click on featured image and set one, I can add in tags, I added a new category, I can even switch between visual and text mode. But after click on the update button so as to update this post-and then open up a new post for editing, I am unable to click on any of these words. It's as if my Java has suddenly gotten disabled. Why is that? Anyone else facing such an issue?
If they go ahead and exit out of WordPress (I don't need to exit out of Google Chrome) and then again go to the WP-admin section and login once again, I can once again edit a post (again I have the ability of only editing one post) before I get this J query- disabled-type problem

Note that I've tried this on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and are two different computers and still the same problem persists.

your hosting should have a backup once a week or a month, back up and see what have changed from there.

Also,if you're using this for business site, try Joomla, will give you way less headache later on :)

How can I go about changing the jQuery files? I reinstalled the WP installation (just reinstaleld, not delete the old site and try a fresh new install), I disabled all plugins too, but still I get the issues.

I also see that even if I hover the mouse over the menu on the left side (such as tools, media, appearance, no submenu pops up? What the heck is going on?)

UPDATE:

This is only happening for the edit posts page. I can changethe timestamp of pages and so on, but when I get to the 'wp/wp-admin/post.php?post=1550&action=edit#edit_timestamp' page, none of the jquery buttons work, neither the timestamp, nor add tags, nor set featured images, nor media, nor appearance, nor plugins menus

chrome, firefox and IE all have a javascript console, why not look there?

Hey, Adam, your suggestion actually helped to a certain extent. I think I finally managed to figure out the problem. i had enabled PageSpeed from within the cPanel and now that I have disabled it, everything seems to be working fine.

Will keep you guys updated...
