WordPress RSS Plugin: Pulling Full Feeds

revlimiter

$333.33/day is my goal!
Im using the WordPress AutoBlog plugin, and I'm noticing that it's not pulling the entire posts, just a portion of them.. I also have "Choose full or partial feeds to repost" set to "Full feeds" in WP AutoBlog Settings.

Does anybody know of a plugin that pulls the entire article from RSS feeds? Or if there's a way to modify AutoBlog plugin to do this? It sounds like the Autoblog plugin is discontinued so maybe there's something better now..?

Anyways, all tips and suggestions appreciated. In Google Reader it shows the article, even if the RSS feed (.rss) link itself has a character limit so I figure there must be a way to do this in WordPress.

Thanks!

Is the RSS feed you're pulling from pushing full posts? A lot of RSS feeds only syndicate the first 200 words in order to get you to click through to the website...

Tried it - doesn't work very well :-/

i got full feeds coming from certain sources but still not the best monetizing technique.

Hmmm, interesting... I wonder how Google Reader does it for RSS feeds that only syndicate the first 200 words?

Absolutely Mike, can you elaborate?

Thanks!

I dont think it does, I think you have to have an rss feed that gives the full content. Otherwise you have to scrape the content using custom scripting, or use yahoo pipes to scrape the content.

Before pulling the content, You need to check if the RSS feed sources provide full post or not.

I know of a couple of free wordpress plugins that do the following. The free version allows only 3 keywords. Let me know if you're interested.

Article Poster
Yahoo answers poster
You tube auto post

Like everyone else said, you have to use content providers who are giving up full content feeds. If that's not available, you have to hire a coder to make a scraper (to scrape text from specific sites) that will run on your server. I don't recommend doing either of these things though. I recommend using your rss feed fetching software to pull the excerpt. That way you don't get in trouble for stealing content. Mashups are all the rage right now. If you have a good plugin like autoblogged that can pull in pics and videos; you are all set.
If you want to be extra fancy, do what somebody else said and use yahoo pipes. gather your favorite rss feeds and mash them up using a pipe. then you only have to worry about one feed in your rss plugin. btw yahoo pipes can output as rss.

later.

WP-Robot. (Great for Getting Content from Select Popular Affiliate Programs)
Autoblogged (Great Flexible RSS Module)
Blogsense-WP (Great Mix of the Above Two)

I think the three above are quality leaders, each having it's own appeal.

I remember there was a free tool available online that would take partial RSS feed turn it into Full Rss that you just put into your Wp-o-matic plugin. It was crappy though used to pull some random php code into your posts.

Anyways the way I setup autoblogs is go to BlogCatalog.com search for my niche.. I found that most blogs on 3+ pages use Full Rss for some reason. Take advantage of that ;)
