Wordpress Slow To Load - Bad For SEO?

I have a 8 sites on a cheap hosting account.

The HTML sites load fast.

The more complicated Wordpress themes load very slow. The simple Wordpress themes load somewhere between the two.

Should I move everything to HTML to speed things up or just keep to the simple Wordpress themes?

Spend a buck more and get yourself another decent hosting. If I'm a visitor, I'd not like to wait for your website to load. I can get the same information from another website.
