Is it possible to make affiliate landing pages out of FREE WP BLOGS .. or does Wordpress frown upon making money with their domains.

Yes and No.
all but two of my sites are wordpress.
One is just a simple website, the other is joomla.

Yea i am talking about not owning my domain .. and just using .. mysite.wordpress.com

In other words just Skip buying a domain name and use wordpress... I mean its only a landing page.

and i use joomla also .. i just think that it is a little over kill for landing pages

I tried this once. Don't remember what happened.... but you cant really install any kind of tracking code on a wordpress.com site.

yea.. their basic WP trackers you can use .. they just give you the basic stats .. The only downside i can think of is they don't really let you edit the css or html unless you pay ... but then i might as well just buy a domain.

the problem is also that blogs are designed to be informational...not necessarily to convert visitors to buyers.
