I recently upgraded servers and the company I'm with moved 3 or 4 sites to new cPanels.

Everything appears ok until I go to log in.

Chrome says:

The web page at http:/mysitecom/wp-admin/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

Error code: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

Anyone experienced this previously and has a quick fix? I've searched around and tried a few things but am wary of fucking things up further. Just thought I'd see if anyone else here has a quick fix before I hound my tech support.

Any help is much appreciated. The joys of running a website :)

It might have something to do with www versus non-www. Maybe the switch is causing that problem.

I'm told the problem was:

"You had the issue with database since that domain was before an addon domain under different user the paths were wrong but it also had the issue with ownership on files which I discovered later after I sent you question 'if that website work for you before?'."

Hopefully this will help anyone who searches for the same issue next time, providing Jared's excellent article hasn't fixed it.

Its caught in some kind of loop, I had this problem with a Zen Cart once and the configuration file was just redirecting for no apparent reason. Got some very experienced people to look at it but to no avail. I did have a back up and that saved the day.

Sorry that post was as helpful as a chocolate ashtray.:(

Hope you find a solution.

I usually get the "too many redirect" errors when I try to install WP on an already existing website... Deleting the .htacess file from the root directory and then reuploading it after the WP install usually works for me.
