WP Site Questions....

Hey guys,

This weekend I plan on putting together a few wordpess sites using my local area community as the main niche. A few questions....

Can I get in trouble for using my local communities name/logo and or local businesses names/logos? It is a master planned community and is almost large enough to be a city. Could the board crack down on me? The site will totally revolve around the establish community...what troubles could I be facing?

To get the site started I'm going to outsource some linking work, and maybe try and use an auto blogger. Once its running and people are viewing - I might try and get local business to (email?) me their blogs and links for posting. How smart/effective are autoblogs and is there a good cheap one?


Along with Google Adsense, It would be smart to have "Affiliates" link sidebar which simply linked to each of my 5 sites and one big add leading to my money site on each...right? (future money site, not even made yet)

Also, does anyone know a good royalty free image site? One that I don't need a fucking $100 month membership to?

I don't mind spending some money to outsource some of the work, but just buying the domains and hosting is going to put me damn near broke (I'm broke...really broke)


At the end of the day, I really just want these sites to sit there - with little work. I just want money =)

I'm sorry, but you are referring to blog writing?

I understand the idea of writing well keyword rich content in a blog - but again I would like to outsource it. Like I said if I could get local business to just write me the damn blogs and manipulate it with the keywords I want then...well done.

^When I say outsource, I know 2 substitute English teachers that are desperate for work. Good idea meh? Tell them to write at a newspaper letter and give them some keywords to use.


If you happened to mean anything such as copyright relating to the community name, well please inform me where I can read more about rules and restrictions for websites using these. I don't think you did, but I am worried about that shit.

Think about it

How many times have you seen a business called, lets say "Santa barbara Bank & Trust". City names are used all over the place in business, look at the phone book. or as they say "its better to say your sorry than to ask permission".

Its not a city, its a "master planned community". It would be more along the lines of me using/copying a businesses name for a business.

And I like your quote, but I just don't want to waste any time by building something that will get shot down immediately.
