I've just started a new project, having found a niche that is being searched for in Italy only. It gets a few thousand exact searches a month but when checking against allinanchor:"exact keyword" there are only 400 ish results. I've double checked and triple checked this and it is correct! I also have a secondary kw that returns about 1500 results.
I'm now putting my plan together for how I'm going to get content on the site and I'm thinking the only real way would be to get all my sales copy translated... once I've written it in English. However, this makes editing stuff later on quite difficult as I really wouldn't have a clue what any of the text was!
So, what I was thinking was, is there a WP theme or plugin that automatically displays in the language of the region viewing it and could it translate its own copy and have these pages around the backend somewhere for G to detect for SEO purposes? I know online translation isn't exactly flowing with native tongue but as the site would be effectively marketing a range of electrical items (amazon affiliates etc) then it might just be enough?
Because its going to be predominantly led by the exact keyword and secondary kw to start with I know I should be able to get traffic to it but in the future, other keywords in the niche have more competition so SEO will have to play a part and I'm concerned about going about things the wrong way to begin with and making my life harder later on!
Also if using some web 2.0 to link to this should I be looking at Italian language content or could English be ok - the keyword is half english half Italian so...?
