WPReviewEngine is a WordPress plugin designed to make it easy to create powerful review sites quickly. WPReviewEngine allows you to add star ratings, custom fields, a thumbnail image, and an affiliate link URL to your WordPress posts.

All aspects of your review site can be controlled from the WordPress administration area, making the plugin extremely easy to use, even for newbies.

  • The much requested ability to change the display order of the rating categories has been added.
  • It is now almost impossible for an outside theme's CSS file to break the auto-embed feature - so even themes that don't conform to WordPress theme design standards will work with the plugin.
  • The Google Maps feature now allows you to embed the embed the map anywhere in your post, not just the top or the bottom.
  • The plugin has been updated to be compatible with WordPress MU, and to ensure compatibility with the soon-to-be-released WordPress version 2.8.

Just wanted to pitch in and say Louis is a great guy to work with & again awesome customer support even for his affiliates.
 
It's just honest competition - both products are completely unique.

Both are designed for running review sites, but if you look at the feature lists in more detail you will see how they are different. My plugin includes support for custom fields, a CSV import tool (great for local directories), both editor and user ratings, post icons, and comparison tables.
 
I am messing around with this plugin today, and I'm wondering if there is a way to still draft regular posts in addition to reviews. I will be looking into it and watching some demo videos today to see if I can find the answers.
 
Yes, you can write regular posts as well as reviews.

If you don't want WPReviewEngine to be active on a post, you just un-check the rating category boxes on the Write page.
