[wtb] links and help creating a linking strategy

I've got several hundred [city]+[keyword] WP sites set up and I need to develop a linking strategy for them.

I only have some internal linking currently, and am populating the sites with content slowly but the linking stuff I have done in the past has always been for a single site where I could focus on it and did most of the linking by hand, posting to relevant forums, etc.

Looking for proposals and information. Looking to build long term value, nothing that will be short lived or get me banned, etc.

So you think I should spread my sites around to different IPs, rather than get inbound links from other sources?

That would be kind of a pain with WordpressMU, but I suppose it could be done.

Does Google really see contiguous IPs as that much better than all sites on a few IPs? Can't be that complex, if you get a class C that is 256 IPs all in the same block.

And what do you mean by Bing it? Interested to understand that. Thanks.
