Danm! A lot of important shit are getting Leaked on the net now days. Due to the fact that Gizmodo posted it on their blog, im let you know as well. I was on my twitter account a few minutes ago when i stumbled on this News.
Most of major corporations have downloaded these info ( Even tho they paying Facebook to have access to our Data ).

Find out if you or some people you may know are on there.

Here's the info on the 100millions Facebook Profiles Leak

Pretty much all they did was a scraper and scraped all publicly available information. I think that's what I got from it when I read it the other day.

No biggie here.

Yeah! Thats pretty much what he/they did but a few dudes found that those accounts had some weak ass passwords and had some GoldMine info on there.
I would assume this as well. If you leave your profile open to the general public, chances are your account is pretty weak.

the only problem is when the people who had their information scraped because it was "public" and now change it to "private" still have their data stored in this scraped database.

But that's no big deal...who cares anyway?

Media hype bullshit!

I have seen the data and it is a waste of time and no good for anyone. It doesn't leave anyones privacy open unless you are afraid for people to know that there are more people called j.smith than r.jones. The other "data" is links to peoples profile pages on Facebook, thats it!! Total non story blown out of proportion by the media.

Grrrrrrrrrrr

Look, even if it was true that the guy managed to scrape some juicy data that is publicly available then SO WHAT??? If you want your information to be private don't put it out there in the public domain. I hate all these "privacy issues" with Facebook and everyone up in arms whenever a new security issue is found on their site.

Facebook is not a governmental body and not a "necessity" in peoples lives, nor is it a monopoly. It is a social network for god sake and if you don't like it then don't use it you stupid litigious motherfuckers (god I hate the legal "profession", bloody leaches).

Rant over.....

YEAH MAN! I was all like WTF when I started to see charges from my friends on my credit card.

DID THEY TAKE MY CREDIT CARD WHEN I WAS DRUNK?!

But then I realized (uhhh, can't trust even my friends now-a-days) that I had put all my credit card numbers, social security numbers, and banking info on my Facebook profile.

UGHHHHHH

anyone who has seen the files, does it have email addresses?
if not its worthless.

haha

It doesn't have ANYTHING, just a count of how many names are similar and also links to peoples Facebook pages. No email, no phone, no name, no nothing.

Stupid and a waste of time.

people are retarded, facebook is equally retarded.

Posting pictures of all sorts of expensive things with money that some would argue is 'ill-gotten' is exceptionally retarded.

More people need to read 'how to be invisible' and realize they're being retarded.

</retarded response>

Tried to open it on my new computer and it ended up freezing up. Tried then to open the file on both my Windows servers and the same thing happened (well excel was able to open it but would only open the first 5% of the file).

Any recommendations on a good way to slice the txt files up?
