Why do some keywords have good quality when others have bad if they are the same word but one is singular and the other is plural? WTF!

green apples - poor

its pretty much because quality score really has no rhyme or reason no matter what google tells you its pretty much just gay.

I just discovered that the other day. I was just messing around and bumped my bids up on one ad group and my QS went to good and now I'm paying even less per click.
