So I'm trying to branch out into Yahoo PPC stuff and I've been mostly using google. I was wondering if anyone knows if Yahoo has a similar function in writing ad copy to the {keyword} function that Google uses.

Also any other caveats I should know about Yahoo?

I think they only allow DKI in title, at least thats how it was last time I used yahoo. When your typing in the title, you should see "+ insert keyword automatically". If you want to track keywords in the url go to Administration > Tracking Urls and turn them on. Then check for $_GET['OVKEY'] on your landing page.

One thing I've noticed about yahoo is they are very lax about display urls. So if you are promoting Chase Credit Cards, you can have your display URL be ChaseCreditCards.com even if it points to shittysite.com/chaseredirect.php

Thanks for the tips, is there a similar way on google to the keyword via a $_GET[] automatically. I've always had to put the parameter in the custome urls myself.

That works for a while usually but eventually they seem to catch on. They shut down a few of my campaigns recently due to using domains I didn't own and told me the display and destination url had to be the within the same domain.

You can do DKI in title and in body copy. Under the text input field is a blue link to open up the option for it. Or you can do manually: {KEYWORD:Your Gay Keyword Here}

Something too keep in mind with yahoo, Your ad's Quality Index is solely based on it's relevance to the keyword you are searching for. It has very little to do with your actuall page. So keep ad groups small, and use DKI when possible, but check to make sure your ad will still make sense when one of your keywords is inserted.

hope that helps..
