All orders placed before July 18th will receive 25% off their first month when the coupon code "25offVPS" is used.

We've got a new node set up and we're ready to start taking new vps orders. Our initial launch a few weeks ago went great and we sold out in under ten days. These new plans are a little different and include access to vePortal.

vePortal is a control panel for your vps that allows you to log in and monitor your bandwidth, disk usage, start/stop/rebuild your vps, and more... see this page for screenshots: vePortal Homepage

Each vps comes with DirectAdmin for FREE. DirectAdmin alone costs $30/month (normally about $10/month for a vps).

* Please read the TOS before signing up. We do not allow IRC servers, VNC servers, spam, mass emailing, warez, adult content, etc...

** If you want DirectAdmin set up, it could take 24-72 hours for your vps to be ready (because we have to get the DA licenses from our datacenter). If you don't want DirectAdmin set up, your vps can be ready in a few hours, but it will not be fully managed and you won't have a control panel.

The first three people who sign up on wickedfire will get 50% off their first month. Post below to claim the code (I'll PM it to you). I'll base it on the post timestamp, so you won't get it if you didn't post in this thread.

You also have to come back here and give a review of the vps.

just want to say i've been with the planet servers for years now, and for an unmanaged p4 2.4 ghz with 1500gb bandwidth and 1gb ram its something like $89. So if subigo's vps-3 really has 1gb dedicated RAM+1000 gb bandwidth AND managed thats a pretty good f'in price.

I've also got a few tickets/pms from people wanting to know how much RAM they need. The answer is it depends...

The basic VPS setup with DirectAdmin, Apache, MySQL, etc... all running is going to use anywhere from 380MB to 420MB right from the start.

Also, a VPS is not a substitute for a dedicated server. We had a client last week send 250,000 visitors a day to his VPS and wondered why it was crashing.

And it does indeed. Can be verified in vePortal or via the user_beancounters file. We also do not oversell the nodes at all.

/but see the above post about vps's not being a dedicated server substitute.

Really? Even cPanel doesn't use that much on a standard VPS install and I know DirectAdmin (at least when I had some experience with it) had much lower usage than cPanel. Learn something new every day.

Well it just depends on what you install... That number is just for the average vps settings (that I have noticed over the past few months). It can be lower... for instance, I just finished setting up Rage9's vps and it's using 245MB of RAM with all of the services running.

This is a great deal guys. If you take a look around unmanaged VPSs with the same looking specs of the VPS-2 (which I have) are the same price. I had a VPS over at wiredtree with less specs and cpanel and that was about $20 more a month.

People should be jumping on this if they need a VPS because you won't find a better managed deal.

Those with questions on memery usage mine is only using 257MB.

send me a code plz. Using a dreamhost ps and about ready to chew my leg off to get away.

I sent you a PM... you can still have the code if you want it, just let me know.

Thanks for the review :) Let me know if you have any questions or anything...

NOTICE: There has been a change to the way we setup our vps accounts. DirectAdmin is no longer installed by default. It was causing problems, because some people wanted something else or nothing at all. So from now on your vps will be set up within a few hours of ordering and then you need to send in a ticket to request DirectAdmin.

That's more what I was expecting. I knew cPanel was making some strides but I didn't think they had caught up yet :)

I just wanted to give one of Subigo's hosting threads a bump.

I've run into trouble today, and every time I contact support, not only do I get virtually instant support (less than 20 minutes), but the guy answering, Chris, is well experienced, knows what the fuck he is talking about and is kind to top it off.

My first hosting provider was godaddy. Needless to say I was disapointed.

Next I tried Gator host and another one I can't remember. I though I was getting good service because my questions were answered within hours by incompetent clerks. But now... man, now I got REAL service, by smart people.

Subigo, kicks ass and at a lower price than all his competitors.

In short, if you need hosting, go with Subigo. I give him the greenleaves stamp of approval!

I was actually in the middle of talking to Chris a second ago and he told me you posted this. And you're right, he's badass. He always beats me to tickets and practically works 24/7.
