Facebooks new way of dealing with Affiliate traffic….Click Fraud em!

I have heard several times from people that I consider authorities that Face book does not want Affiliate traffic.
After having a storied past with Face book and buying over 9 billion impression in just under 7 months. I decided to call it quits for a bit and focus on myads.com and others that actually respected Affiliates and what they were doing.
Over the past week I put 3 campaigns back live that always did well on Face book so I figured I might as well give them a shot on FB as well….
They were:
Criminal Justice Short Form
CDI Nursing in Canada
Fashion Design Schools
Here are the results: for all 3 I made 5 ads each and all ads got approved quickly each one had a great number of clicks and were converting yo my metrics (I spent about $500 my first hr) and then all 3 at the same time stopped converting….. I looked into it further and here is what is happening. At some point last night Face book decided to block traffic to my lander page BUT still allowed users to click and charged me for the clicks….Several hundred dollars.
here is what I saw when I clicked the links myself

This is pathetic. I can see them using shady tactics like inflating prices, but this is outright fraud on their part to continue charging after their own system has disabled the link.

Unless they want a lawsuit or the FTC to start peeking into their operations, traffic needs to be cut off at the same time a page is disabled.

Exactly...how isn't this fraud? If they don't like your link then they shouldn't post it...charging you for user's clicks that don't even go to your site seems tantamount to stealing.

That only means FB treats all Link equal. They must be checking all the Outgoing link using the same routine. Ad Approval = Manual. Link Check = Auto.

Maybe they will look at it.

It's moot until it can be determined if the links being disabled were done so intentionally or automatically, or if the continued charges were a malfunction of the ad system.

yea and good luck getting the real answer on that. would facebook admit that they were doing that to affiliates?

You might be able to get somewhere if you had a mass claim of a couple thousand affiliate marketers. If FB realised there is even the slightest chance of them losing or even take a considerate amount of bad publicity, they may just settle before it escalates.

Hm...so edu offers need lp's now, have seen it but just when using blocked domains, when you will use yours just stop it when it stops converting and don't trust FB
