Have you ever astral projected, had an oobe, or experienced anything "paranormal" ?

Alright here goes my paranormal story....

It was about 11:00 pm and my mom, sister, and I were chillin on the couch talkin...

The lights flickered for about 5-7 seconds then everything plunged into complete darkness. Now this wasn't ordinary darkness you could feel the thickness of it. (And I live in the city. There are always streetlights beeming into the house at night.. It is never completely dark)...It also felt like electricity was coursing through my body. As soon as the lights went out the burgler alarm, which has never been hooked up or activated, went off.... It was extremely fucking loud....

We were in the dark for like 15 min before everything came on. The alarm didn't stop though.

The only thing I could see in the dark was a robed black shadow figure standing in our doorway. It was as tall as the ceiling.. 12ft or so and floated about 1'ft of the ground. It didn't move... It was blacker than the dark and I could feel the evil all around me... It was fucking scary as hell....

The alarm was so loud some cops about 4 blocks away heard it and responded. I went outside fucking with the breaker trying to turn off the alarm, and they put me in handcuffs and asked me what happend... so I told them lol... They thought I was crazy. Anyway they had to cut about 8 different wires to get it to shut off, and the alarm keypad was blinking erratically... very hollywood horror esque...

This was the most amazing/ scary expereince of my life...

Weird part was I wasn't scared at all during the expeience... but afterword It was hard to sleep at night for about a month or so...
Now I just don't give a fuck....

The closest thing I've experienced to this was on Salvia (a horribly shitty drug).

I can't totally explain it, but I was outside my body, and I was trying to "flip" myself back into my body. After a few attempts, and after the drugs wore off, I succeeded. I don't know if you'd classify this as one of the aforementioned experiences, but it was certainly an "out of body experience".

My best friend tricked me into taking a giant bong rip of 20X salvia extract a month ago and it was so awful. The entire time I was lying on the ground feeling like I was wet (turns out my hands were just really sweaty because I was so freaked out) and that I was folding into the carpet and becoming a piece of furniture.

Stay away from salvia, it is no good.

I was 15 years old laying in bed trying to go to sleep and I heard a tapping sound on the wall in between the wall and the bed. It was dead silent in the room at the time no fans or anything like that and it was pitch black. It sounded like a finger tapping on the wall and I tried to ignore it then something grabbed my hair or touched my head. It scared the fucking shit out of me. I have no idea what it was.

Oh shit the light in the dining room just started flickering it never does that.

if i ever have a ghost experience, i dont know how i will ever sleep again.

the closest ive had to anything in this thread is when i was sick with swine flu. i had swine flu which lead to pneumonia. no doctor would take me because swine flu was all the rage, so i was fucked without meds. i had a 104 fever. i was laying in bed and dreaming, then i left dreaming and sort of woke up. i couldnt move and somehow my image distorted to a sort of hallucination to where the 1 small light in my room was the exit light in a giant ass room. i was freakin out. then my vision cleared and i realized i was in my room. i was than able to move again.

o, and the time when i was 9 and realized i was going to die. not so much paranormal, just an absolute mindfuck along with everything else in this thread.

ParaWickedNormal:
About 9 months ago (gestation period) I googled make monies online. Lights of reality flickered as I fell into this black hole of IM celestial entities. Avatar like faces spoke constantly from the left of my peripheral vision. Some in tongues, some with wisdom. Yet all shared a common purpose . . . to promote the sanctity of the ultimate meat spin!

Of course this brotherhood of gay webmasters was just a dream and doesn't really exist. However I can't shake this feeling that somewhere in my browser is a hidden tab that beckons . . . calling . . . "leave your javascript enabled, just click me, you know you want to, let go and click me"

I know it was just a dream but it seems so real.

When I was about 9, I was going to bed around 11pm. I then heard what sounded like very loud tires squeeling and a lady screaming, it was so loud and vivid. I was literally shaking afterward and my heart was pounding.

The next night, I stayed over at a friends house. Around that same time their father got a call from the police to tell them their mother had been killed in a car accident.

Anyone in here who astral projects at will?
Can you "guard" your physical body while you are sleeping, and how does it affect your sleep quality, if at all?

I want to see a ghost sooo bad. I've had experiences where I've heard unexplained noises at my house where I grew up, actually multiple people in my family have.

When I was young, my grandmother was watching me at my house alone and heard someone running up the basement stairs. She was scared shitless and thought someone was going to bust down the door. She waited and nothing happened, so she opened the door and no one was there.

Then last year, stuff really started to get weird. My grandfather was staying at my house alone and had his friend over one morning. They heard someone walking around in the kitchen and slamming stuff. And his friend turns to him and says is someone here? And no one was there but the 2 of them.

Thennn... I heard weird stuff myself after that. I was in the house alone with my girlfriend when I woke up to someone in the kitchen slamming the cabinets shut and making a lot of noise. At first I thought it was me dreaming so I went back to sleep, but then woke up again when I hear a really loud slam. I went downstairs and there was nothing.

I haven't heard anything since, but then again my house is for sale and I'm barely over there like I used to be. Just once, I want to see a ghost when I go over there.

I had an OOBE when I was a teenager. I had no idea what an astral projection or lucid dream was. I just felt myself getting pulled upwards from my bed. I was completely conscious and figured this must be what happens when people die!

I assume it was just a lucid dream. I'm am atheist and a scientist, and I've yet to read any information supporting that we are somehow more than our biology.

That doesn't make lucid dreams any less amazing. When you are able to look around inside your dream world and the detail is just... stunning. It truly blows my mind.

do you know what "associated" means?

Yeah, do you?

It means that they're connected, not the same. Sleep paralysis and having a lucid dream are two different things. bizzykehl explained his story of sleep paralysis, you said "it's called lucid dreaming". No, it's not. It's called sleep paralysis and it's much different than lucid dreaming.

Read the paragraph from the fucking link you posted, sleep paralysis is clearly different from lucid dreaming.

if you want lucid dreaming try nicorette or nicoderm (or other nicotine replacement therapies), I was tripping balls on that shit at night... but when my brother tried it he had no affect (may be becuz he was a non-smoker)

When I was younger I use to feel like something was literally walking on my bed every night for about a year. I still to this day don't know what the hell it was. I was scared shitless for a few months but after a while it became "normal" and I didn't think about it anymore. It's footsteps felt to small to be a human so it felt like an animal of some kind.
