FDLE: Daughter Of Woman Who Tried To Sell Grandson Arrested! Investigators Say Infant's Mother Planned To Use Money To Buy New Vehicle

BRADENTON, Fla. -- The daughter of a Holly Hill woman accused of trying to sell her 8-week-old grandson was arrested Tuesday.Stephanie Fleming, 22, of Bradenton, was charged with illegal sale or surrender of a child.Fleming's 45-year-old mother, Patty Bigbee, and another man, Lawrence Works, 42, were arrested, each on the same charge,, last week.Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigators said Bigbee offered to sell her grandson to a third party for $75,000 in late October. After a series of negotiations, the price was set at $30,000 investigators said.FDLE agents said they arrested Bigbee after she met with Works in Daytona Beach to complete the transaction.Investigators said Fleming agreed to receive $9,000 for the sale of her baby. Investigators said she planned to use the money to buy a new vehicle.Fleming was being held at the Manatee County Jail on $50,000.The infant remains in the custody of the Florida Department of Children and Families.
