Got any good sources for coffee

I've only really tried Costa Rican coffees. But my favorites are ones that come from a single plantation/location. They have distinct flavors:
Orosi
Poas
Tarazu
Naranjo
Tres Rios
Turrialba

Tarazu and Orosi are probably my favorites; although I buy from each to mix it up. Don't worry about which brand you buy from, if it is from the same region in Costa Rica, brands only mean different packaging.

I get it locally for about $6/pound. You can get it online for a little more.

It looks like they are in great Britain - I'm in the U.S.
they want 7.80 pounds for the coffee and 90 pounds for shipping

£90 shipping. Fucking hell. Didn't consider your location, just threw Has Bean out there, because they're the shit. :)

Dave Mustaine (of Megadeth) has his own brand of coffee.

Coffee has irritating effect on gastric mucosa and can lead to development of ulcers.Caffeine interacts with absorption of some nutrients in small intestines. The only healthy way to treat tiredness and fatigue is to have rest and not drinking coffee. Also, long term coffee drinkers often develop liver function disorders.

As for me, 100% pure Sri Lankan Tamil coffee, prepared by an old school drip contraption. No milk, a little sugar. Fuck that fair trade shit, I'd rather support the LTTE.

I prefer tea, but for coffee, I actually don't mind really. I like Dunkin Donuts and Maxwell House. I have a taste for shitty quality.

I used to buy Lavazza in Blu in 12 container bulk packs from someone on ebay. Came out to 4 or 5 bucks a can... its almost on par with Illy and that shit is like 13 bucks a can.

Nobody has mentioned cat poop coffee yet

Its like $200 bucks a pound or some rediculos price. This is is the raw shit them beans make whats supposed to be the smoothest coffee on the planet. Im not to sure I would try it though Called Kopi Luwak

I drink a couple large cups of tea a day also.

The doc told me yesterday got to go on some cholesterol med. so the frickin half and half is gone now.

I'm had thought about french roast and the press coffee.
I'm going to try them before I buy a machine.

After working in coffee shops for way too many years of my life I would recommend:

1. Always buy arabica beans (as opposed to buying robusta beans)...they are much better quality and taste much better
2. Use a french press!! It is easy and simple and extracts much more flavor from the beans than an electronic coffee maker does
3. Grind your beans just before brewing...letting coffee grounds sit for more than a week before use will lessen the freshness
4. Clean out your coffee making device every day! Built up residue WILL make your coffee taste funky
5. Store your beans in an sealed airtight container, your beans will loose their freshness and change in taste when exposed to air

Personally I am a fan of African coffees, I like a bold and earthy taste to my coffee...
