When I'm sending gaming traffic through both PPV and Facebook, please do not make it so that when the offer caps it gets redirected to a Frogger download offer.

I'd like to keep all of my accounts from getting banned.

I think somebody else has posted the exact same thread, and for a reason. There are very few things that would piss me off more than getting banned from a traffic source because of a network redirect. And because of this, I need to micromanage my campaigns: I need to be online at night to make sure I can pause all of my campaigns when I hit my cap, and unpause them at midnight when the offer is back live. It's enough to make me not want to run my traffic with your network.

I don't want to call out the network, but please use some common sense when setting up redirects. Or better yet allow affiliates to control what an offer redirects to when it gets capped/expired/etc.

Thanks.

With all the networks out there claiming better payouts and exclusive offers, there's a genius idea that might help you actually differentiate yourself a little. I wonder if any networks do this already (none that I know of), but it'd be cool to see it implemented.

^^ that is actually true, and a descent idea. But the fact of the matter is, pause your shit when it's capped ASAP., because most likely your losing money. But yeah getting banned for that is shitty. It's a good idea but it's not a deal maker to join a network. IMO

We have this ability, but it's a change necessary on our side (and not the affiliates).

I totally understand the OP's frustrations - your network should tell you when your offer is capped what offer it's going to redirect to. This way you'd both be on the same page and you would be able to make any comments or changes as to what you want your specific traffic redirect to.

useless thread if you dont out the network

It happens with every single network.

C2M seems to be good about at least giving us a few hours notice. Normally I find their emails might come in at 1pm and the offer dies that night at 12 midnight. That to me is perfect. Enough time to sort a campaign out and redirect.

Some (and there's like 20+) just do a redirect to a similar offer and email you, which is fine! (EWA)

Then there's the lazy fuckers who redirect a weight loss offer to Zwinky and never even email...

I woke up to find multiple different offers in weight loss niche across multiple domains now lead to a russian bride service. Score! lol. It would be funny to see it convert.

shit has been happening to me as well. Networks should give a few hours notice and at least redirect to a similar offer in the same niche and.

Bull shit

I know in my case, if we had notice we would give it - it's literally last minute stuff in this industry and we have around-the-clock people monitoring it (or doing the best they can possibly do) to make it work.

Agreed, its so hard to tell when an offer will cap. working at a network i know that we have a daily cap (sometimes monthly) that can be filled anytime of the day. sometimes not til 10 at night and sometimes as early as 10am etc.. we do send out a "campaign nearing cap" notification. which is supposed to help you better manage your campaign and at least give you a heads up its close to being capped. Then we send a "Campaign capped" notification, which is when it starts to redirect. We also have a URL that we can redirect to that simply says "Offer unavailable" which you can set as a redirect or ask your AM to.

either way we do provide the ability for affiliates to choose there own redirect. If you want the "Offer Unavailable" URL then just ask your AM and we'll hook it up as an option.

you know i love you buddy, and you guys have the best interface in the entire industry, but what would be awesome is if we could specify ANY URL for country redirects and capped offers at the offer level. It would make it so we don't have to request cloned campaigns, and protect us if something capped. I mean, I could have it put in the URL to go to a page that sends the visitor to another neverblue offer AND sends me an SMS saying "yo fucker, the shit is capped".

I mean, its traffic we generated, and almost all of that redirect traffic is probably going to another neverblue offer, and it would prevent all the noobs from losing their minds when their FB campaigns are disapproved because the Irish crew were doing the approvals on a US only campaign. And as someone who lost a very important account because of some brokered network geo redirect faggotry (not you guys), i personally would really appreciate it.

yeah man, thats a great idea and we have submitted it to our tech department. They've agreed to start working on it, so i hope to have that set up in the very near future. for the time being, we'll have to keep using the cloned offers and offer unavailable page. but we'll get on it and hopefully have it dialed in very soon.

thanks man!
