That has got to hurt. Saw that they are closing their network as well. Wonder how much Microsoft is looking for.

Pretty sure he has been caught bang to rights.

I will assume you are being facetious, but on the off chance you are serious, I will point out that the keyword "disguised" in your post is the one you should focus on. "Disguising" your actions as another entity- in any way- to elicit a click will likely put you at risk of tort ;)

And I definitely would avoid doing it to an entity with a trigger finger as fast and pockets as deep as our buddy Bill.

I don't like him that much either but I don't know him personally... only from his guruish actions which he didn't even fully follow thru on so it shows it's not 100% congruent with him possibly.

I feel kinda bad for him since he just got married etc...

What was that guy really thinking? How many people would consider him a "Guru" when he's teaching disguising and using brand names while teaching that trick? :P

I'm all for Blackhat, but he should have picked something like "Download free ACME-Ltd. Messenger" or something while teaching in his course. He could have been richer (net) today.
 
Lol you need to be pretty thick to do AND teach stuff like this and think there won't be any consequences.
