Any of you guys got some recommendations for bands no one has heard of?

Here is my contribution...

Stonehill: Modern Folk Rock - Home

Make sure to listen to "Freedom Hill" right on the site.

I got lucky to come across these guys on Last.FM with like 100 views and couldn't hardly find them in Google.

Anyone else have bands like this that are awesome that don't have hardly any exposure?!
 


Alot of canadians bands are still not exposed that much but they're all good. Cant name one though but I'll get back here if I can have one

they were part of the original Norwegian melodic death metal groups with In Flames and Children of Bodom. Unfortunately they got screwed by their label and didn't take off like the other two bands did.

My favorite noname band. For some reason they just couldn't keep their shit together and keep breaking up and reforming new bands, each time going around deleting all their music online. They sound extraordinarily like Tool, good luck finding their music though.

Crazy ass industrial techno chick out of Portland. I first heard about her online then later found out she now lives in Portland. She used to be really famous and tour a lot, now she barely does any shows. She's straight up nuts.

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00149VC8U/"]Cypher[/ame] out of Baltimore, but unfortunately they broke up. Pretty good metal band, listen to Change Me and Rape (apparently about lead singers relationship with gf). Don't know the rest of the band, but the drummer is cool and pretty good.

Skindred...? Wow, I didn't know anyone else knew about them. I used to be really into them, not so much these days, but good nonetheless.

once again...TEH WILDHEARTS

I've said it before and I will say it again:

The Wildhearts is probably the best hard rock band you've never heard of.

Sadly due to lackluster management, pathetic promotion efforts outside of the UK, and drugs/booze/bandmember problems, they have somehow remained un-noticed by U.S. listeners through out their career. (Their first album came out in 1993 or so).

If you like truly catchy hard rock with songs that will stick in your head, do yourself a favor and give The Wildhearts a listen.
