and it's not our fucking problem - i.e. Obama shouldn't be dictating where their borders are (they should, or resolve disputes themselves), and we also shouldn't be sending them (or anyone else), foreign aid

Because the U.S gives them a shit tone of aid for doing nothing, even though they spy on the U.S. If they can defend themselves why give them so much aid?

Giving aid to Israel is wasteful, they can obviously handle themselves,it also serves no strategic purpose However, even if any American politician wanted to stop it he couldn't, the Israel lobby is way too powerful.

Try to see the bigger picture here. Whether they hate the US or not does not matter, that's correct. But it does if it leads to violence on US soil. Thus, it should be in your interest in case you don't want another 9/11.
