Most of my friends, both old and young, that support Ron Paul have read his books, and gone to see him speak on several occasions and know his ideas by heart. Not sure where you're getting your information, but with this guy it's almost the complete opposite of what you just said.
We bought a few of these and ran them local last time around. Someone said it already, but the best way to get a vote is to knock on doors and talk to people. Even if you just hit your neighborhood. I forget the exact number, but I was told by campaign officials that 1 yard sign translates into 4-5 votes. Not sure where they came up with their numbers, but it was from the campaign itself.
I like your idea about the individual websites. What about mittromneyvsronpaul.com, hermaincainvsronpaul.com etc. I'm not an SEO whiz, but seems like this would probably be easier to rank for because we're including the keyword.
If this is the route we want to go anyone want to volunteer to build the first site? If you get the site up, I'll contribute some content and of course, 1000 backlinks/day + I have some mid PR blogs and a network of news sites I can through up permanent links on.
