Why the ugliest wordpress themes have better Adsense results

I remember I run a test with PPV a while ago. One lander was a hot chick with some
text and another was with a fat chick and the text was something like "you will date
her when you're 40 unless you act now" or something similar. You won't believe the CTR
of ugly bitch page. Like 3x of the hot chick.

Ugly shit sells. It has been proves thousand times.

Also there is some psychology behind making you websites ugly and making bad
formatting on purpose or making some mistakes like numbering a list 1. 2. 4. 6. 7. 8, etc

Ugly and no content above the fold has worked for me. I lazily put about 7 blank lines below my large adsense rectangle and image on two pages (to push beginning of content down below the fold) and the CTR is far better now. I'd find a smarter way to do this if I gave a shit about adsense though.

I believe that ugly theme make the ads look more attractive and easy to spot on the page, however if your website look like s&?t and someone from Google come review your website your done...

I've been in this situation before.
I always was worried about the look and feel of my sites, but i realized the more slick and decent the theme looked, the less I earned.

Nice looking themes "distracts" the visitors calling their attention because of details (subscribers counters, shadows, boxes, widgets, etc.). An ugly theme (no graphics, solid background and default color palette in AdSense) always give better results, at least for me.

This blows my fucking mind.

Honestly, I have no idea here.....why they would click on the fat chick????

Guess it's the phrase that makes them click rather than anything else..

Put yourself in a guys shoes, they probably see pictures of hot chicks everyday on their computer on Wickedfire or when they are going to fap.. so when they see a hot chick but they are thinking of fapping etc they wouldnt want to click on her as much as a fat chick instilling fear into them..

For that same reason, I think we are desensitized to images of hot chicks online. I mean, how many times have you clicked on a link, seen a hot chick, saw it wasn't porn, and left? For me, a half naked chick online only means one thing....

On the other hand, when I see a fat chick on an ad website like that, I'm thinking "Wtf....why would they put a picture of somebody like her up?" Next thing you know I'm reading the phrase and clicking through.

No sir. I see a fat chick and I scroll away ASAP.

When I see hot celebs, I stare or click away. Don't even care if it's an ad.
