bro, you are arguing with yourself now. i gave you the shady source, i quickly grabbed one. i will even grant you that msnbc and fox news haven't covered it, so flush it out of your tiny brain.
How insulting. I do not like your tone, and for the record I don't watch TV and have heard very bad things about those two sources of "news."
the bomb was patented in 1934 and there was a WORLDWIDE RACE TO BUILD ONE that included espionage, stealing scientists, etc, etc.
if you think the soviets were just worried about "some German dude in America splitting the atom" than you are more ignorant than first thought. read a fucking book.
Yeah, yeah, I've heard this shit before... But the official word is that
Stalin didn't even start up a nuke program until 1942. Worse yet, they never got their hands on the first chunk of uranium until 1945!
And even if you disbelieve that, keep in mind that the USA first made the nuke, and not a single fallout shelter was sold here until 1961.
I mean c'mon... The communist Russians were so afraid of some theoretical technology that they beat the forrunners of it to protecting their own Citizens from it by 30 years?
I haz a doubt.
but again, I never said anything about the 30s, you are the one that brought it up in your snarky fervor so please STFU now.
Your sad source brought it up. My "snarky fervor" was simply there to dispel your source and although you agreed it was questionable you have been defending it every since.
WORLDWIDE RACE TO BUILD ONE...not "one German dude"...try to register that next time you are doing your snarky asshole Jon Stewart impression that intelligent people put up with from morons like you on a daily basis.
Jon who?
As you're going to find out eventually, I'm no newbie moron and you'd do well to apologize now.
Yes, I have read much about the worldwide race to build the first nuke, but since russians didn't get to play in that race until WWII was coming to a close, I don't find this race at all a reason for them to build 7000 bunkers 2-3 decades before we did.
BTW, I will spare you the ridicule of explaining how little the USSR cared about displacing people and private property.
Good. Thank goodness for that because I don't think the source of said knowledge is sound.
For instance, you feel that the USSR cared not one bit about displacing ~7000 people, while in the meantime, you seem to support the notion that they care so much about their citizenry, they'd build 7000 nuclear fallout shelters for the good of their citizens 2-3 Decades before we ever sell our first one here.
:/
You obviously went to a public school in America, I would say in the last decade, and you are an absolute ignoramus when it comes to history. Omitting your skills in navigating to Wikipedia, of course.
Sadly I did go to a pathetic public school in america back in the 70s and 80s. I was so ashamed of it decades later though that I became an avid reader and traveler. The only school I proudly claim to have attended is the university of life, backpack campus.
About the most important lesson I've learned in all my reading of late is to double or even triple-check your source of 'news.' -It's almost always questionable these days, but that Iranian rag was further off the mark than anything I've seen in a long, long time.
Now, would you like to state for the record what credible news there is about the new bomb shelters? Leaving that link the last one standing is a travesty for everyone who ever sees this thread in the future.
