Even though I never liked Halo or understood it's popularity at all, to say that you can't play FPS games on a console is....well.. lol.
About 10 years ago, I used to be a PC fanboy and said just the same thing you did. But as FPS games on consoles started getting better with more precise controls, and sitting on my ass at the pc all day wasn't something I wanted to do all night - that's all I play anymore. Now I can pwn anyone better with FPS console games from my couch than I ever could on a PC. Besides, who wants to sit all day and night in their office chair to relax with a game. Not me. (And yes - I know you can hook up your pc to your tv so maybe I'll try that some day)

Yes exactly! As far as I'm concerned, all COD games since COD3 have really only been worth playing in single player campaign (COD3 kicked ass live). COD:World at War was pretty good live - but already then you could notice a new trend with the live portion of their games.
Spawning to die. Walk for 10 seconds and die again. You practically have no health - because even the tiniest strafe of any bullet kills you instantly. And last but not least: Ridicilous kill streak perks that are WAY unbalanced.
And here is why the COD kill streak rewards suck balls and take all fun and balance out of their live experience: Once someone starts to get kill streaks of like 5, 7 or more - they pretty much will have the advantage. Fucking annoying airstrikes and helicopter strikes that linger around forever and rank up even more mass kills - leading to even more stupid airstrikes and helicopter strikes. Give me a fucking break. It ruined the live experience in my opinion, so no more COD live for me.
BF3 hands down. Ive been a BF fan boy since 1942. You fags don't know what your missing playing that call of duty shit.
And too those cs fan boys. Yea its a fun game I played it for awhile, but got bored easily because its the same shit over and over. I actually stopped playing BF after BF2. Mostly because they started going towards consoles with the bad company series. I thought that the game had turned into a call of duty clone.
But then my friend convinced me to play bfbc2 on pc and when i logged in i was expecting call of duty, no tanks, helicopters or anything that was good about the previouis bf games. Well I was blown away. The fucking graphics are so awesome and the maps are so large and detailed that it looks like like a real life battleground. When i played my first game I almosted jizzed in my pants.
Theres nothing more awesome then being in a huge battle, with 4 of your teams tanks going into a huge battleground with 4 enemy tanks rolling over the hill to do battle, while helicopters fly overhead. All the while you got 60 ground troops shooting at each other. its chaos and its fucking epic. If you got a good headset and a better graphics card you will fall in love with battlefield games.

LOL, I couldn't have said it better and I felt exactly the same way. Again, the COD games are totally cool in single player campaign. Awesome storylines, action, etc. But live play.... not so much.
BF is where it's at, no doubt! Ever since their epic Battlefield 1942 came out, (which I hope and pray they some day will do a remake of with graphics from the new gfx-engine!) no one has been able to beat that experience. And like you I also first thought BF Bad Company 2 would be a disappointment so I made the mistake of not checking it out when it was first released. But damn, is it good! Like the old BF 1942 it has huge landscapes, beautiful scenery, tons of various vehicles, cool and FAIR classes/upgrades/perks, team balance - and most of all - you actually have time to walk around and plan your strategies alone or with your squad mates. Instead of dying and respawning every fucking 7 seconds like in COD.
Disclaimer: Playing COD live *CAN* be fun to play live if you play with a small group of people, like a private match with four of your buddies or whatever. But joining random servers with dozens of players just simply isn't. BF all the way bitches!
