Why are the richest in the US getting another tax break?

Yeah, we definitely need to help guys like Walmart expand their influence, so they can create more high-paying jobs. It's worked so brilliantly over the last several decades, we should definitely keep doing that.

Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price | Watch Free Documentary Online

EDIT: That documentary is a prime example of why you want to keep big business at bay. They destroy the true job creators in society, which in turn, destroys the entire middle class.

Walmart is doing exact what it planned to do, and what consumers wanted - lowest prices, all the time. Once again, it's the poor supporting Walmart, and fucking them out of their own jobs.

sorry you lost me there.

you don't really believe that do you?

Yes. Poor people have zero understanding of money.

How's that been working out for the US economy over the past 25 years? Seems to me things are going great down there!

lulz

The US have been fucking over high income citizens for the last 25 years, harder and harder. Shit, when I bought my first home, I didn't even get that new home owners tax credit, not because my house was too expensive, but because I make too much - yet I still wrote a six figure check to the IRS that year.

Actually, we pay what 98% of the taxes? How about you send a check to the IRS for 700 grand and see how it feels.

Fucking well fare handout wanting little bitches. We cant do everything for you guys

+1

I wish I could rep you 1,000 times but once will have to do.

Can you name one person that is at the poverty level yet people would deem intelligent?

yeah, you can't?

you're saying that one person can't possibly make 30K a year is just stupid and liberal
lol that's almost sigworthy. I don't recall saying that. I recall questioning the idea that poverty is a foolproof determiner of a lack of intelligence.

I don't pity poor people in the least....work hard nuff said
don't recall mentioning pity either. And I agree, it takes little more than effort to live above the poverty line in the vast majority of cases.

You guys monitoring this shit? Looks like there's a good chance they're going to reform the US tax code into 3 brackets, so the highest rate will be 29%. That's 6% down from the current highest rate of 35%. Yet, they're expecting to raise an additional $1 trillion in revenues, so when all is said and done, that probably means the middle class is going to get fucked with an even larger red, white & blue pole.

That's our (or at least mine) customer base their fucking with. Hrmph...

Why even call it a government? Just call it USA, Inc., and assign a board of directors. At least there'd be a bit more honesty that way.

Don't worry about it, just try to get into that tax bracket. Anyway I always wished governments ran their countries a bit more like a business rather than take take take when they need more money. I guess lowering the tax bracket is an incentive to stop the rich either living in a tax haven or trying too hard to legally avoid paying it. I for one don't agree that if you do make it you should have to pay stupid amounts of tax. After all do they give you any more votes, Nope, all your hard work and thousands in tax and your vote can be canceled out by one convict that you are paying for anyway. I think it's a totally stupid system, but who cares what I think.

a person is a fucking moron if he can't make enough to survive... structural/frictional unemployment is what 6-9months. I will even stretch the time frame if you can't get a job in 2 years you are a total fucktard 1. because you can't get a job, or 2. your unwillingness to get a job.

so yes you didn't say that making 30k a year isn't possible you implied it with your comment about poor people being smart and I doubt you can name one smart person who is poor...Why is he/she poor if they are smart?

Poor ass Democrats whinning about paying 10% on the money they make on top of welfare, section 8, wic, food stamps, and disability. Almost forgot the crazy check for Hoochie Mamma's bastard kid.

And what do they do with this money? Buy alcohol, crack, and whores. Get paid on Friday and broke on Monday asking for an advance.

I know this for a fact. I have about 20 Democrats at work.

the richest in the US barely pay any taxes at all.

the US fucks producers, people that work. thats why its main revenue source is INCOME taxes.

the super rich that are demonized by Obama and other do-gooders live off of dividends, capital gains, trust funds. they pay at most 15%, but there are plenty of loopholes.

meanwhile, who REALLY gets fucked is the guy in the small town that actually produces jobs.

lower tax rates would be great. both for the middle class, small businesses, AND for tax revenues.

if you want to see how the poor are getting fucked, look into what the Federal Reserve does. they are devaluing the currency which is a HUGE tax on the middle class and people on fixed incomes.

get your nose our of other people's pockets and look at the real oppression, the government. if a medieval serf was taxed at 25%, why the fuck should i be taxed higher?

talk about fucking people with a pole.

Hey, don't complain about taxes.

They pay for important national services that are a benefit to everyone like the Health Serv...

Oh nvm.

You've totally missed the plot...

If you're an entrepreneur, where do you think your money comes from? Right, the middle class. That doesn't mean people who can barely make ends meet off $30K/year. It's people who live average lives, but have enough money flowing in to give you some. That's disappearing.

I wasn't arguing that, I was arguing MSTeachers point that poor people can somehow be intelligent, nothing about the middle class shrinking.....

if you can barley make ends meet with 30k something isn't right...people have some misconception about struggling to get by....I am talking about one individual who makes 30k/year that's not struggling it's not rich, but it's enough to live comfortably. A family of four with 2x the income can also live comfortably if you have any understanding of how budgeting works.

Lowering taxes isn't a problem. What causes problems is not offsetting the tax cuts with spending cuts. They can lower everyone's taxes down to 1% and we can all have a big party. But if they are still spending trillions, it will end up coming out of our pockets down the road in some way or another.

...it purports to eventually balance the budget without cutting military spending, Social Security, or Medicare. This is impossible. These three budget items already cost nearly $1 trillion apiece annually. This means we can cut every other area of federal spending to zero and still have a $3 trillion budget. Since annual federal tax revenues almost certainly will not exceed $2.5 trillion for several years, this Act cannot balance the budget under any plausible scenario.

Second, it further entrenches the ludicrous beltway concept of discretionary vs. nondiscretionary spending. America faces a fiscal crisis, and we must seize the opportunity once and for all to slay Washington's sacred cows – including defense contractors and entitlements. All spending must be deemed discretionary and reexamined by Congress each year. To allow otherwise is pure cowardice.

Third, the Act applies the nonsensical narrative about a "Global War on Terror" to justify exceptions to its spending caps. Since this war is undeclared, has no definite enemies, no clear objectives, and no metric to determine victory, it is by definition endless. Congress will never balance the budget until we reject the concept of endless wars.

Finally, and most egregiously, this Act ignores the real issue: total spending by government...

If the middle class is "shrinking" (i.e. going from middle class to poor) does that make them less intelligent?

Your republican logic is completely shit-fucked. Why do you ride oligarch dick anyway? How does riding said billionaires dick improve your life? Oh you must be one of those people who go out and buy iphones and thank Steve Jobs personally like he did you some big fucking favor (when really it was the company behind it, not him)?

I know plenty of fucking POOR but educated and intelligent people. I know people with economics graduate degrees who are struggling in this shitty economy.

You and your little band of gay republican friends in this thread need to have a little fucking sympathy. The fuck off your high-horse.

If there was ever a bunch of gay webmasters who need an ass-ripping, its some of the careless, heartless shitbags in this thread.

NOTE: I lean libertarian on alot of issues, but I have sympathy for the poor and hate crony capitalism. I want to disrupt that bullshit. Being poor fucking sucks and we need a system that allows everyone to make an honest living and no class or interest groups gets fucked. Especially the poor.

If you think $30K/year is a comfortable life, you're either delusional, or have never experienced what a decent life is. Living off $30K/year is living check to check, never having extra money, and always hoping an unexpected expense doesn't come your way. I'd hardly call that comfortable.
