Here's a little insight to the people you advertise to.

Google went around the streets of New York and asked 50 passerby's "what is a browser?" Only 8% could answer.

OP's vid - Yeah, these are ordinary people not nerds :) ... okay they got definitely easy questions but lets be honest if you be a farmer or a topmodel you couldn't answer to these questions as easy as now.

mGrunin's - vid just show some really dumb people :) ... btw it was funny :D

to be fair if they asked "do you know what a web browser is?" to be honest if they didn't identify themselves and asked me what a browser was i'd tell them someone looking around.

I think Instrumentalist just wanted to say that when you say "point your browser to xxx", or whenever you refer to a browser in any way on your websites, you're doing it wrong

Strangely, when I thought of an answer to the question of a country starting with the letter "U" I thought of Uruguay and Uganda (and I am an American no less).

Same. First country that came to mind was Uruguay. Didn't realize the U.S until the guy mentioned. Pretty funny actually.

This makes me realize that Ron Paul might have an even worse chance at winning than I originally thought

The general public are a buncha fucking morons.

Think about someone you'd consider of AVERAGE intelligence...

...Half the population is dumber than that person.

Hence, Acai and BizOps

Couldn't agree more. Anyone who has actually worked with the general public will know this is just the way it is. Its almost amazing how stupid people really are let alone how they make it through life

This. I also believe that the general intelligence of people is declining at a rapid pace, with the main culprit of this being information overload. People have easy access to information via the internet, while a good percentage of that information is pure shit (people are notorious for believing everything they read).

Also television, video games, smartphones, CNN, porn, etc., all of that is our modern day opium.

This vid and the comment from hav3n really offer a ton of insight that everyone in this business needs to keep in mind.

So many times we get wrapped up in the forums, wickedfire, brainstorming, meetings, and conferences with like-minded individuals, and we tend to FORGET that we are a very very very small percentage of the population.

I cant even count the amount of times I have said "fuck no, that wont work...people are that not stupid" and have been proven wronggggggggggggggggggggggg.

Whenever you start thinking there is too much competition, that times have changed, that old tricks wont work, or that you are too late to really get into the business...you have to make sure you keep in mind that we are really a very minute portion of the population.

95% of my family and friends dont even know what the word "rebill" means or how a free trial works....even though many of us here on the forum feel that trials are dead or the time has passed.

Opportunity is always there...and there will always be millions of people that have no idea what we do, how we do it, or how the internet works.

Fuck me. I just found this. It looks as though Google responded to the general population's lack of knowledge about web browsers and released this video. Lmao.

Try joining the military for an enlistment... you see this shit everyday, from people you have to work FOR nonetheless.

...however I was thinking of Ukraine.

Well said.

What annoys me the most is when they start talking like they're a fucking guru. True stories: "bill gates invented the computer", "everyone is buying xyz stock we should too", "all rich people are lucky", "but look it's rated AAA!", "i heard all the big companies are using the google", "but you need to get an IT degree to learn how to use adwords", "hurrrrrrrrdurrrr"
