Quiting your Offline Job is A NEVER!

Don't quit your gay job!
This point cannot be over emphasized but this is the truth about online shit. At times things are good and many times shit hits the fan hardest!!!!! You need to be cautious while trending this financial narrow path :alert: Things are not always good all times. I have been in this business for years writing Content and holding onto my offline job.

I was lucky when i first wanted to make some money online, I directly chose CPA to get started :)

My first day as an affiliate I made $550.

It's only scaled up since. :)

Your background has a lot to do with it. I was an inhouse SEO for three years before going off on my own.

EDIT: So what I mean, if this helps anyone who already knows the fundamentals. I already had the software and campaign builders to see who's spending what where and how much they're converting. Basically reverse-engineering their campaigns to just make mine improvements of theirs.

I also spent a lot of time upfront being transparent with my AMs so they know my "goals" and that I'm serious about bringing in the most conversions possible. I would say my time is split 80% researching new niches 20% executing and managing the campaigns.

Lastly, the biggest tip I can offer: Buy traffic and only do what you know. Don't just do something because the AM says everyone is doing.

provide quality product, promote it, build a list, and make customer service a priority. These four suggestion will take you a long way. When you begin to see substantial results, duplicate the process with another product offer. Think in terms of series so that additional offers can be marketed to a "targeted group" like your list. Hope this helps.

I started marketing with a very little budget and after 3 months I made about $400/month.

Lessons from this thread:
1. PPC is the path to the big bucks
2. Some people are just full of shit on a constant basis

...You have to actually learn why you failed and work on improving.. and if you're not seeing an improvement, you're not on the right track. If you are, well, you probably wouldn't be asking this question...

well said. How much after 3 months? Depends on the niche, your brains and work ethic. If you work, work, work and never learn, then not alot. Likewise, if you learn, learn, learn but never work, you won't see anything. Looking back when I started the first months were lean, but income picked up quickly once I found a groove.

dpends how much time you put in front of your computer, and how much of that time is spent working and not masturbating.

This can't be more true. Typically the previously experienced SEO people do the best when just starting out, usually working the search angle to full advantage (strictly search). For the poster (if they still read this thread) you have to start looking at different stats to start across all types of traffic, you have to have realistic expectations based on what your working with, every type is different in terms of revenue and speed.

3 months is barely a start. Most careers take longer to get established. So much to learn, so much to do.

I launched my first campaign about 2 months ago. Currently doing just under 2k rev a day and close to 1k profit a day consistently.

This is my very first job or source of income ever. Im still in school for another 2 weeks. I still do not know how to do a hyper link and have not even made my own web site yet. Doing this purely with direct linking, testing, tracking and a shit ton of persistence and 100% belief.

The next two months look very pro(fitable)mising.

Aim Higher people. Stop trying and start being.

Fuck, that's awesome. Can I ask you a question? What exactly was your process for getting started? I'm reading a shitload of blogs, forums, etc in an attempt to learn more about affiliate marketing. I'm at this point where I think I'm ready to start my own campaigns...but I just realized I don't even know how the fuck landing pages work.

Am I supposed to make my own? I've been greenlit by my network to 3 different campaigns, and just as I thought I was about to put some campaigns up... I realized I don't even know how put them up. I've already decided that I'm going to sack up and put a serious amount of money into this so I can get some good data and learn the business further, but...yeah. Where the fuck do I start?

Where do you start?

First, you have to start by noticing that the chances of someone replying to a post that they made more than a year ago is close to 0%

Secondly, just start

I realize that. This is an active thread, though, and there are plenty of other qualified people to answer my question. Was just hoping someone(anyone) would see it and be able to shed some light on things for me. Thanks for your post.
