Prepare for a market bloodbath monday

If ya could pick a different currency you could 'maybe' take the Euro but they are having their own problems right now.

Wott??!?!? Euro is collapsing all around and is looking more and more likely that it could be broken up within a couple of years.

what about the swiss franc... i'm pretty sure that is... they are having problems b/c they are so strong

Swiss Franc is overvalued, but I still use it as a defensive play against the Euro. The Swiss are trying to reverse it, but I don't think they will be able to as it is such a strong safe haven and people aren't buying it for speculative profits but mainly as a defensive play like gold.

Yep, the strong swiss franc is being a problem right now.
No one here seems to know what to do about it, though.

Very little that can be done short of a recession. The fact that it is defensive rather than speculative makes it much harder to try to control.

Oil down $3 a barrel and gold is up $59.60 an ounce. I'm thinking about buying stock today just because they are so dam cheap.

Wish I had some spare cash lying around right about now. Oh well, there is always the next recession situation (and with the way Europe is looking it might be better to hold off on buying just a little bit).

thanks obama voters

You're saying Obama is responsible for the markets? The dow is still way up overall since he took office, so I guess you are being serious with your praise of his voters. :Yahoo_29:

Yes, in part. He effects the global economy and that effects the market
