FUCKKK, I don't usually get excited by gameplay footage especially on FPS games but shit, I'm sold.
looks awesome, it's also time for me to upgrade the GPU, haven't upgraded in a few years. 2x5770 ain't gonna cut it.
Ordered for both pc and xbobx.. The only reason mw3 would out sell bf3 is due to the people who have bought into all the latest cod. however, the game play imo will always own cod.

I've played all the PC Battlefields, and I was hooked the day I bought 1942. I bought a gaming computer with Vista and suddenly I couldn't play BF2 anymore, so I quit. I played the Xbox with BC1, BC2, and 1943. I'm pumped for BF3 and I'm even on a team for it. I'd like to try the PC version too, if it works with Vista, but my video card crashed and now I just have the stock one.
Upgrade to win7 and buy a highend GFX card. Otherwise don't bother with the PC version, console will do just fine.
Looks like pre-order will be worth it to get the free map and early access to this pack (DAO-12 is my primary in BF2)...

I can't right now. I had a 500 dollar Nvidia GFX card, but it crapped out so I had to put in the old one. I don't have the money to buy a new one. When I first played BF2 on my old computer, I just bought a cheaper video card and a little more RAM and it worked perfectly. Will this game require a lot more for PC?

I'm not quitting my job but I will be picking up the game at midnight when it is released and then I have the entire week off from work after that. Not taking time off for the Beta, though I probably will have a few nights with not much sleep. Can't wait!
I am so fucking excited for bf3. My roommate got into the "open" beta yesterday. The actual open beta starts tomorrow (thurs 9/29).
I got to play the alpha trial for 10 days back at the end of august and I had a lot of fun with it.
Is anyone else in the open beta? What do you think so far? Will you be playing on the computer or console? I prefer computer as the maps are slightly larger and the games can have up to 32v32. (I think its 16 v 16 or 12 v 12 on console.)

Right now isn't the open beta, it's the beta for those who preordered.
I'm in, but there's a huge fucking shitstorm with shit spattering the walls of nearly every PC player who plays with custom remapped controls.. The mother fuckers (dice, the developers) obviously didn't account for the fact that some players might want to change the fucking default keyboard/mouse bindings.. No one can remap the mouse buttons from their default bindings, as well as for some of the keyboard settings lol..
So I + many others can't play it. The actual game looks amazing though, just can't use it because I've been using my key/mouse setup for ages and can't be bothered to learn a new one.
