Anyone else taking either of these classes?

Right now I'm taking the full version of the AI and Machine Learning Class:

Machine Learning - Fall 2011
Introduction to Artificial Intelligence - Fall 2011

For those of you who don't know, Stanford is offering their Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence classes for free online for anybody who wants to take them. I've been using tons of machine learning algorithms in my own projects/businesses without actually knowing what they are, and in many cases have been exploring unchartered territory in AI. I'm looking forward to both classes; AI has been a big interest of mine.

If anyone else is taking any of the Stanford AI classes hit me up. Also in the upcoming months, if you are taking the course, feel free to hit me up with questions.

+rep. Thank you for sharing. Would be taking them if I will be able to manage my time properly. Don't want to miss the nice opportunity.

I am taking the Machine learning class. I work on an analytics team, so my employer is giving me 2 hours a week to study/work on the course. Looking forward to it.

Interesting, 4 hour exams though, that's brutal!

If the videos for the first lesson on Machine Learning that are available are any indication, that 4 hour exam will probably be 1 hour for most of us. This better get really hard, really quick, or I'm going to get bored and lose alot of respect for Stanford.

Thanks for posting :D

Can anyone confirm what sort of certification do you get if you pass? Or is it mainly just for personal development and worthless CV wise?

The part I read wasn't really a certification but described as something along the lines of . . .

Statement of completion will be issued with a description of how you did and how you compared with the rest of the online crowd?

REP+ for you. AI, NLP and Machine Learning are topics I'm interested into.
Along with Linear Algebra, those topics are extremely interesting for me, even more if tha knowledge is applied to SEO. Thanks a lot for the links.

Gonna sign up to the Database and ML course.

We need to get a private forum set up for WF'ers for this.

Is it just the AI, ML and DB courses available? I see they have introduction to computer science as a free course, but they just give you the content/exams/solutions etc and doesn't really get you anything at the end of it.

Signed up for ML earlier today. Apparently this is making the rounds.

Too bad they don't all share the same login system.

Just incase this makes a difference to anyone, this is from the ToS;

End of Class Certifications

Enrolled in both the ML and DB classes. Shoot me a PM if you actually intend to finish either course and want to have someone to discuss the content with.
