FB group "Super Affiliates" - Run by a tool, for tools

why hatting. anyone banned from their bros. Saw one of his recent post where he banned some of the guys.. although personally I believe it was not cool when he forced guys for donations but he got raped by the members.

Never forced donations. I asked for donations from people so that we could run some ads in order to grow the group. I paused the group for like 2 hours to draw attention to the request. I've spent thousands of my own hard earned dollars to do that while everyone else reaps the benefits. Bottom line, I don't let jackasses in my groups. I'm not into the drama of having trolls hang out there. Everyone is welcome as long as they think twice before acting goofy.

Affiliate marketing iz serious biziness bros...

Even the dancing T-Rex agrees.

P.S - I swear imgur shuddered a bit when I was uploading that GIF.

Did you buy his email course too?

Pretty much all the big mailers that use to frequent this board know russ and and know something about his program and have talked with some of his clients at one point or another. Most never have used it (it's not geared towards us). I've heard more positive feedback from people than negative which is rare for any type of training program in this industry.

It's priced high to make it worth his time to train people. Anytime you train someone that knows nothing about what they're trying to do you'll have to spend hours upon hours holding their hands. After they get past the hand holding stage and have a firm grasp and what they need to do they move on to something else (powermta, robo, volomp, etc).

I've never used it and I doubt tj, round, eli, dold and any of the other people that use to post a lot in the mailer section have used it.

^ I know a few people that used his training program. They all had good things to say about it. They seem to all have the same complaint though and i feel its a very fair one. It's REALLY hard for a newbie mailer to recoup 10k+ in startup costs during a time that requires heavy scaling costs.

I like the fb group though. It's a lot of positive talk and quick responses and there's a lot of good people in it. It has a lot of douchy network spam but hey thats normal anywhere you go and I've scored a lot of really good direct advertiser relationships from it. So I can't complain.

If we're going to bitch about a facebook group can we please discuss the Advertisers Who Don't Pay group which is ran and iron fist moderated by an advertiser who doesn't pay lol

Guys,
Thanks for the intervention.

PapaJohn, I wasn't planning on perma banning you or anything. I've actually enjoyed many of your posts but I've learned that it's better to nip problems in the group before they get out of hand. I also wasn't attacking Wickedfire.

I don't like negativity/trolling in the group and I learned the hard way "Rockefeller VS Shoemoney" not to allow things to get out of control. The audience doesn't enjoy trolling either. I get tons of complaints from people any time there is drama. Since the idea of donations was so wildly unpopular I moderate and grow that group with my own money and time. Drama is like the single most draining and time consuming thing I have to deal with and it cuts into the amount of time I am able to spend with clients. That's why it's unacceptable and why I have no tolerance for it really. I'm never going to catch every troll post some stuff will slip through. I do act on the incidents that I do see.

BigWill has been on my radar for a while. It may seem as though I just targeted him out of the blue but this is not the case. In order for the group to flow cohesively I have to stay on top of things. I'm sure you understand why it's necessary to moderate and in some cases ban people. I have rules in my Facebook group and on my forums just like you have rules here. My rules may be different from your rules but they are rules nonetheless.

Let me know if you want to work it out, or just call it a day.
Thanks

That's changed since we last talked. We've added a ton of new features that I'm sure all of you guys would enjoy. Auto IP warming for instance. We are rolling out some huge AOL/Yahoo modules too very shortly.

The main reason why I don't solicit business from many of the bigger mailers is that you guys all have your own things going on. I also don't like being the guy that takes business away from people. I prefer to be the guy that brings business to people. This is also why a lot of the bigger mailers have talked with my clients. All of them at one point or another are going to need data, IP's, and a network of people to work with.

This is not really a direct complaint against me, but more of a complaint stemming from the difficulty of the email business itself. I do my best to minimize expenses for everyone as they cut their teeth. If viewed from the perspective of how much money they have saved by shortening their learning curve and then compared to what they invested with me - I make their dollars stretch pretty damn far. That's for sure.

Dude.. all this bull shit over a FB spam group? Get real guys, get back to reality. The group is a worthless piece of shit that the usual spam-happy AMs are using to promote their network.

Russ acting like it means something or that he has founded something important that won't be abandoned in a month, makes my head spin.

Papa and Big Will.. why do you care that you or your friends are banned from this sorry excuse of a FB group?

How? It's a place for networks to spam, nobody takes it seriously. You're banning some of the biggest names in the space for calling you out on this and you expect people to take it seriously?

Last time I checked most of the biggest names in the business are still members. You clearly don't understand that the group's purpose and intent is to allow people to network and self promote and to inform other members about what they are doing, so that they can get business from it. If that's what some of the "Biggest Names" are calling me out over then I am guilty. I understand Wickedfire does not allow that, and that in fact most forums and groups do not allow this. I dare to to have a different formula with my group and that's what makes it so brilliant. If you fail to see that, then I cannot help you.

Delusional egomaniac.

You are who? Some guy on a forum. Yeah. That's about it.

I'm just a gay webmaster like everyone else on this forum.

And you're some guy that scams people stupid people into paying them $10 grand for "training" and makes "brilliant" FB groups?

That's right, everyone, bow down.:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
