If anybody is a bit of a Trekkie like I am, then you would know about DS9 and how the show highlights the Ferengi, whose society is based entirely around acquisition and profit. Their belief is that parts of the universe always have too much of one thing, and not enough of another, and they seek to fulfill the wants and needs of various races, in turn making profit. Throughout the show, they randomly mention their rules, or "religion" on how to acquire said profit. I thought it would be appropriate here to post them. While this is a little nerdy, I also think a lot of these rules are applicable in the real world. So.. (too big to post here, so a link instead)

The Complete Ferengi Rules Of Acquisition

There's only one rule that's needed, and you should have seen it enough times by now to have it memorized:

My fellow Capitalists, those rules are (mostly) Legit.

I don't run my life by them like a religion, but if you appreciate capitalism and the deeper business world, go read those rules; you'll likely learn something about business you didn't know before and could even possibly make a buck or two you previously left on the table.
